Presenting to you a beautiful, pre-seasoned paniyaram pan made with high density, high purity cast iron and seasoned with natural, edible oil. The square pan has 9 pits that heat food evenly by slowly releasing heat. It is available in two versions, one with two small handles and the other with one small and one long, curved handle. 

Our extensive seasoning process makes the surface non-stick without applying any chemicals. When cooking paniyaram, appam, or mini pancakes, you can achieve a crispy golden brown finish using very little oil, fat, or butter. We also have silicone pads and handles which you can use for easier handling.

A: Cast iron pan is absolutely the best for making paniyaram. It is sturdy, lasts for a lifetime, uses little to no oil for cooking, and creates an even golden brown crisp on the outside.

Q: Can I use the paniyaram pan on an induction cooktop?
A: Yes, our paniyaram pans can be used on an induction cooktop along with all other heating sources.

Q: How to take care of a cast iron paniyaram?
A: Iron rots when in contact with oxygen, so when you let cast iron utensils sit in water for too long, they start rotting. To clean a cast iron utensil, cool it down until it’s safe to handle. Use a soft sponge and regular dishwashing liquid and gently scrub the surface in a circular motion. 

Wash with room temperature water and dry off using soft cotton or microfibre cloth. Once it is completely dry, take half teaspoon of vegetable oil and rub it into the surface using a tissue paper in a circular motion.

Q: What is a seasoning?
A: Seasoning is the process of baking oil into a cast iron utensil to create a layer of carbonised oil, which gives it a natural non-stick finish. At Satvik, we only use non-GMO, natural, edible oil to season our range of cast iron products.
